Why?
I like to use AI to research topics which I know little about but where the downside if it lies to me is negligible (ChatGPT is not your doctor, let it rather hallucinate mildly correct computer science articles for you). Don’t worry, I’ll strictly separate slop (AI) posts and organic slop (my own) posts.
How?
This will probably differ from post to post. Most of the time I find myself reading something that intrigues me, start to do some exploration with ChatGPT and friends, notice that I barely understand the terms the AI throws at me, so I start at the beginning and let the AI write an introductory post.
The model will get a bit more context than just “Write a blog post about X”, but I’m not going to heavily fact check or edit the final outcome. If you read a slop post and have to bang your head against a wall because you cannot believe that someone knows so little about your area of expertise that he would believe this nonsense, DM me on Twitter @tweet_travior.
